On Thursday, our sixth grade All-Stars had a highly illuminating experience at Chicago’s DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center.
During their field trip to the museum, located in the city’s historic Hyde Park neighborhood, All-Stars explored DuSable’s more than 15,000 pieces while participating in a scavenger hunt and following their worksheets through a self-guided tour.
The day brought us some big smiles, seriously inquisitive minds, and newfound knowledge on a variety of important topics. What a great way to gain a deeper appreciation for the rich history and culture of Black Americans.
We’re so proud of our young Alain Locke historians for their eagerness to explore all the DuSable Museum had to offer this week! See the pictures from our All-Stars’ field trip below.
