With February being Black History Month, what better way to celebrate Black excellence than with a riveting musical performance? That’s exactly what our Alain Locke Choir did earlier this month.
In partnership with Uniting Voices Chicago on Friday, February 7, our All-Stars helped put on the very special musical program, “Black Futures Concert Series – Afrofuturism: The Freedom Metropolis.” Along with other UVC partner schools, they performed the song “Earth is Ghetto” up on stage at the magnificent Chicago Symphony Center.
Way to go, All-Stars! congratulations on an excellent performance — and not only that — but also the many compliments you received on your orderliness and focus throughout this very big day. Big thanks, also, to Music Director Ms. Belluomini for organizing the event.
