We were so pleased to welcome some very special guests here at school last week for a collaborative performance with the Alain Locke Choir.
As part of its citywide performance tour, Uniting Voices Chicago and students from other partner schools stopped by on Friday to perform with our All-Stars in the Alain Locke gymnasium. After rehearsal, all of our classes were invited to watch what turned out to be a truly spectacular show.
Friday’s performance comes just months after our All-Star performed with other students at the Chicago Symphony Center in February for Uniting Voices Chicago’s Black History Month Concert Series. We’re so grateful for our partnership with this Chicago-based nonprofit organization that gives our All-Stars access to a world-class choral music education!
Big thanks are also in order for our music instructor, Ms. Belluomini. Without all of her hard work, this very special school-wide event would not have been possible!
