The seventh grade Alain Locke All-Stars took a truly amazing field trip downstate last Friday as they visited Springfield, Illinois.
Our annual trip to our state’s capital city included tours of incredible sites like the Illinois State Capitol, the Lincoln Tomb, the Lincoln Home National Historic Site, the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, and Lincoln’s New Salem State Historic Site.
We owe a major thank you to Mrs. Baran, our middle school social studies instructor, for organizing this awesome adventure for our All-Stars. Special thanks, also, to the other chaperones Ms. Tiskus, our middle school science instructor, and Ms. Favia, our middle school ELA instructor, for helping make the trip possible.
