Ms. Foster, All-Stars and Parents Represent Alain Locke at Board of Education Meeting

It’s time to give a major shoutout to all our members of the Alain Locke community who joined together to represent our school recently!

Along with Ms. Foster, 10 parents and All-Stars were in attendance at the September Chicago Board of Education meeting to have their voices heard on why Alain Locke — and other schools like it — are crucial for making sure all students have access to an equitable education that prepares them to succeed in life.

In total, over 60 advocates were there to make their voices heard, according to the Illinois Network of Charter Schools. “By speaking directly to the Board, charter supporters are demonstrating the positive work our schools do and the importance of strong renewal terms,” the organization said in a message to supporters this week.

We’re so proud to be able to do our part to stand up for our school and others like it that work so hard to ensure the quality education that every student deserves is always within reach!
