Fifteen parents visited school recently to work on their resumes with the Alain Locke Associate Board.
Parents worked one-on-one with board members and other volunteers to develop their resumes, review job-hunting tactics and practice their interviewing skills. All attendees left with both print-out and digital copies of their resumes.
The workshop took place after parents, students and volunteers enjoyed pizza together for dinner. Students then played in the gymnasium while their parents worked on their resumes.
After receiving such great feedback from parents, a follow-up workshop is now being planned for this spring.
