Please note: Admission to Alain Locke is by blind lottery. Filling out an application does not ensure admission.
Complete one application per child.
- Any student who is a resident of the City of Chicago is eligible to apply.
- If applying for Pre-Kindergarten the student must be 4 years old by September 1, 2023.
- If applying for Kindergarten the student must be 5 years old by September 1, 2023.
- Completed application must be received by 3:45 PM on Friday, April 21, 2023.
- Alain Locke will continue to accept enrollment applications past the lottery date.
- The Lottery will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023 at the school.
- Applicants eligible to fill the next openings are contacted by phone.
The 2023-2024 School Year begins on July 17, 2023
- School Hours are 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. All Students are dismissed at 1:00 PM on Friday.
